Global Energy Monitor’s data is used by climate researchers at numerous institutions, including Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Ecofys, Pembina Institute, Mercator Research Institute, Climate Action Tracker, Greenpeace, the Lancet, OECD Environment Directorate, Institute for New Economic Thinking, Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, Nanjing Univeristy, Imperial College London, Harvard University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and International Center for Climate Governance.
