Mengqi Zhang (she/her) joined Global Energy Monitor as a Researcher in 2024, where she eagerly applies her knowledge in energy and sustainability. Prior to this exciting new role, Mengqi was a Research Assistant at the Center for Global Sustainability, where she utilized advanced models for policy analysis that supports a clean and sustainable future. Her previous experiences also include working as an Energy Market Analyst at ICF, focusing on the U.S. energy market.
Mengqi holds a Master of Science in Geography and Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. Mengqi finds joy and inspiration in the winter snows of New England, a reminder of the natural beauty she strives to preserve.
